I've just finished reading Nate Gibson's excellent book 'The Starday Story, The House That Country Music Built' when rock n roll transformed music in the mid 1950s there where a lot of record labels asking (or telling) their established country stars to sing in the rockabilly style, Leon Payne was one of many, some were good and quite a few not so. Personally I think Leon aka Rock Rogers does a pretty neat job at the style.
